Ash is a denser hardwood which will burn hotter for longer
To simply order quantities of kiln dried nets of firewood logs for delivery direct to your door
Options are given depending on the overall weight and destination.
- each log cut to 25cm length
- guaranteed under 20% moisture content
- packed tightly into 40 litre net bags
- sustainably sourced hardwood
A very popular choice and known to be one of the best types of firewood to burn, Ash burns hot and long and gives a great heat output. It is relatively easy to split and stacks well.
Ash is a broadleaf tree and can grown for hundreds of years. The bark is dark compared to the light tone of the internal and is tight onto the log. Ash firewood logs will burn red hot even on a newly established fire.
Ash is becoming more difficult to source for the woodfuel market and as such the price has steadily increased over the past few years. We recommend using Ash among other more sustainable types of hardwood to keep your fire burning hot and bright!
PACKAGING MAY VARY - ALL WEIGHTS AND MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE
Recommendation:
Birch to begin and provide a flame
Ash for long high heat
Oak to provide a very long burn on a well established fire.

Ash
Good dry ash burns well in pizza oven
-
ash v birch
Ash was a very good substitute for the birch
-
Very dry - excellent burn.
Low moisture (5-7%) in the first batch burned. Very dry and smells great. Used in a pizza oven, and the sizes are much more convenient (without extra chopping) than the birch.

Ash-ta la vista babyyyyyy
Without a shaddow of a doubt the best wood type I've burned. Perfect for a medium to long burn. Great quality of logs. Just a shame Ash is hard to come by at the moment, so I've given oak a go. I don't risk getting logs from anywhere else, great company.
